21 Success South Derbyshire Water Polo club is proud to be able to
announce that it has been re-accredited this year for Swim 21,
continuing as one of a small number of Water Polo clubs that have achieved
this accolade. It is testimony to the coaching staff,
swimmers, club management and helpers that the National Panel
has recognised the hard work, systems and procedures that are in
place within our club. Swim 21 also recognises the potential
that is evident in the club action plan, which we are now
concentrating on, moving us through this transitional phase to
even bigger and better goals to
provide the best experience possible for everyone involved in

Derbyshire Water Polo Club
Formed in 2001 with the aim
of improving the standard of water polo in Derbyshire. In
recent years the club has gone from strength to strength while
maintaining it's friendly and welcoming characteristics.
Today
the club has over 80 members from Derby, Nottingham, Long Eaton
and surrounding areas. The club boasts successful men's,
women's and junior teams,

MENS NEWS
South Derbyshire has two men's teams, who play in both local and
national leagues. Ages range from 16 to 50+, giving all the teams
a balance of youth and experience. As
well as a strong competitive edge the local leagues provide the opportunity
for junior to develop their game at a higher standard. The
national league, which was entered for the first time in the clubs
history in 2005 represents the highest standard of water polo in the
UK. Played over a series of weekend between October and December,
the leagues are also an excellent social experience as well as a tough
water polo challenge.
LADIES NEWS
The women's team has experienced some great National
League success in recent years, rising quickly through the leagues and peaking in Championship 2 in the last season. The team are taking a break from National League next year, allowing us to focus on developing the large
number of new players who have joined us recently, consolidating performances in the Midland League with the untimate aim of re-joining National League in the furture
